Update: I decided to see if I can sell this one after all. Check out the listing on my brand new etsy shop! [link]
I tried etching again, this time with a half inch size brass triangle. I meant to basically just engrave/etch the surface and realized that at high speed I could easily drill through the brass... so the project went from one thing to another.
I sanded the whole surface to have a super sheen texture because I accidentally damaged part of the surface, which you can sort of see right under the hole on the top. It's hardly noticeable in person though.
I'm probably going to be putting a jump ring and a gold plated lobster clasp on this. Whether or not I continue etching like THIS or not depends on how I feel about it later and if I can get them done in the future without having to mess with the whole surface of the metal.
I think considering I drilled this out myself instead of having some metal stamp stencil or way to punch it out, it came out pretty well. :3
Not without making it way too thin there's not.. I may just have to keep this one myself. Since I'm new at this, I guess I do have to allow room for error and such. I'll learn better, I already know where I think I went wrong, so the next one should be a lot better. :3
Like I said, it would make it too small, I have sanding bits and the works..the parts that got marked up were way worse than they are now too- like I said it looks a lot less obvious in person, since it's only half an inch and I got some really up-close shots. I may have to add one that's back a bit to show off how it doesn't look so bad in person. ;
but yeah, first time really etching something out and I did make a mistake I only caught a second too late, so I'm lucky I didn't have to just throw it out part way through.

You torture me so!
