Jormungandr

The original drawing of this, I actually did for my own tattoo... I decided it was also an awesome idea to color the art and share it around. It wasn't necessarily supposed to be Jörmungandr when I drew it, however I realized after it was finished, after it was on my arm that it is indeed the great Midgard Serpent. Thus the naming in English as well as Elder Futhark runes on the graphical version.

I also did the knotwork (is it knotwork? It's curly..and kinda knotworky, but I'm not actually sure if it can be classified as knotwork? Hmm) myself some time back; actually, I did it for my minecraft resource pack but upscaled and redrew it for whatever else I like it on. :3
The background is also a digital creation; and Jörmungandr himself is colored with a variety of techniques.

I think my favorite thing about this work as a whole, is how he really pops out from the background if you stand back and view it from an angle.
