Minecraft Zelda II Inspired Temple by Sarinilli Minecraft Zelda II Inspired Temple by Sarinilli
Spent some free time between projects and work in the last week building this in minecraft. It started off as a whim just for the heck of it and quickly evolved into something much more grand: an updated concept based on the old temples from Zelda II: Adventure of Link.

Top Left: Frontal side view in daylight.
Top Right: Surreal combination of day and night; front view.
Bottom Left: Inside the main structure.
Bottom Right: A night shot to show off the glowing floor.

I'm actually using my own textures; the updates to Minecraft keep leaving me in the dust though so I've never gotten it done enough to release it to the public... if I ever do I'll probably be putting it up here on DA though. :3

Hmm..I haven't touched the animals yet..not really. Maybe find one that you sort of like and edit it? I'm sure no one will mind if it's just for your own use. :3

That has become tricky with the "resource" packs now; but you can do what I did: download a pack you like and unzip it, then go through the folders to see where everything is at. If you want to make a "remix pack" for your own use all you have to do is just replace the texture files with the ones you want to use and re-zip it, save it with a new name and there you go. :3

Oh shoot... yeah. I see where you're coming from. I ended up switching back to windows ages ago from Debian because of games and digital art. ^^;;

I'm sure someone on the Minecraft forums may be able to help you, though. From what I remember of Linux it shouldn't be impossible by any means, just a bit more complicated. :3

It's really great! :D I only don't like the Triforce, tho. :( Maybe making it a little big larger, and longer? So that the middle spot is like an upwards-downwards triangle! ^^

Besides... maybe this will make you feel a bit better about my Triforce building abilities. ^~

Actually in the original Legend of Zelda (I'm not sure if you've played the very first game or not, but) the Triforce was sort of flattened out looking. Not to say I had planned that at all though, but it works with the theme at least. I totally agree though, I like it better equilateral as well, but..well.. I didn't plan to put it on there originally and didn't take a center block into account. So by the time most of the building was done and I was putting the roof on I really didn't feel like having to go back and change the whole structure (or at least half of it) just so the Triforce looked up to date. xD

Ah, that explains it. xD But I played LoZ I from the NES, on my Gamecube Zelda Collector's Disc! :3 But I like the rest of the temple though, it's beautiful! :3

Haha well thank you! And who knows, I might decide to fix it later, I just got burnt out on rebuilding parts before. If I do I'll probably just update the pics here (may or may not put a notice of the update, we'll see). :3

Too bad you never saw people actually worshiping in the temples.

I know, right?

But, by the time Zelda II happens people are too busy turning into Keese's to care. See! See people?! You shouldn't have forgotten the temples were there. Now you're just bats.
