I finally got all the brass pieces hammered, drilled and the backs sanded. I'm really happy with how the domes shaped up in the end. I know they're a little wibbly looking and a bit scuffed, but for a first attempt at metal work like this, I'm more than happy with the results. :D

Are they done 100% now, or have you some more work to do on them?

Aside from polishing, they're done. But that's something I'll probably do before the big day so they're nice and shiny and clean. ^^

Mind sharing how you did it? The last picture said you found a better way to do it. What gauge brass did you use? What kinda hammer?

I used pre-cut 24g brass rounds, and a 32oz ball-peen hammer. Believe it or not I hammered them over one of my bed posts. haha

So you hammered them onto the round part, instead of into an indentation? I'm assuming the bed post is a ball?

Nonono, well, there used to be a ball end, but the one I used went missing years back. The hollow part of the bedpost is just the right size around to hammer into. I had covered it in felt to match the paint job but, well I guess I'll have to fix it now but it served a good purpose! x3
