Since my last photo I took a bit of a pause from the work, and found an even better method of hammering in the meantime. A method that results in a MUCH better shape if I do say so myself. I'm over half way done with the rounds. Then onto drilling and attaching them. :3

And yes, my poor cutting board has been used and abused, don't mind it. hehe

they're looking great, if you're trying to get the round shape smooth you could use a metal press to get the dentation

Nope..not really, because all of the ones I've found, all the proper hammering blocks have that perfect half circle shape which isn't what I'm going for. I actually "cleaned them up" in a manner of speaking since this picture even. Just took a little more hammering to get the dents out of some. :3
